Ryan Hopewell is a Principal and co-founder of Bowery Consulting Labs, bringing over 25 years of experience in construction and consulting. He received his BS from Southeast Missouri State University and his MS from New York University. Ryan specializes in building exterior restoration and compliance solutions, having previously led major renovation projects on both modern high-rises and historic landmark buildings across NYC. Starting his career working on construction sites, Ryan understands the importance of delivering projects on time and keeping all parties well-informed throughout the process. His approach blends innovation with hands-on expertise and common-sense solutions, leading to successful project outcomes.

Matteen “Matt” Gafary

Matteen “Matt” Gafary, PE, is a Principal and co-founder of Bowery Consulting Labs with 13 years of experience in façade and roof consulting. He received his BS from New York University and is a New York State licensed Professional Engineer who also holds certifications as a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) and Qualified Parking Structure Inspector (QPSI). Matt has overseen complex exterior restoration, garage and waterproofing projects throughout New York City, drawing on his background in engineering and construction management to lead successful initiatives. His expertise spans projects from century-old landmark buildings to modern structures, and he is regarded for his understanding of compliance, safety standards, and regulations.
